Hi everyone! It’s Carissa Wiley here with you today. Welcome to Satur-YAY! We’re celebrating the weekend by getting our craft on, and I hope you’re ready to play along!
Today, I’m sharing a fun shaker card featuring some of the newest products in the Essentials By Ellen Line, including some fun, exclusive embellishments. The Tiny Hearts Sequins are available in both red and a mixed color palette which includes pink, cream and red, and they’re perfect for shakers and embellishments. I really think you’re going to {heart} them!

In addition to the Essentials By Ellen Embellishments, I’m using some of the new December release stamps and dies. I absolutely love playing with all of these products. And while some of them have a decidedly lovey theme, there are so many sentiments and images among these products that make them great for year round use. I love the speech bubble, and simple heart dies in the High Five die set. And the Hands are so much fun to embellish with nail polish, rings and even bracelets.

I chose to emboss my greeting inside of the shaker window on today’s card. When the confetti pieces shake around inside, parts of the sentiment get covered. I think it’s kind of fun, but if you prefer, you could heat emboss the sentiment on heat resistant acetate and use that for your shaker window. Or stamp directly on your clear plastic window using Staz-On ink.

I sprinkled in some lip die cuts that I created using the Confetti Kisses die. I love to embellish these lips with a layer of Tonic Shimmer Pen and a layer of Glossy Accents. Because what good are lips without a little gloss?

I’ll be walking you through the creation of this card in today’s video tutorial, so be sure to check that out. I’ll give you some tips and tricks along the way and we’ll probably have a chuckle or two too!

So now that I’ve shared, it’s time for you to share what you’re creating on this lovely Satur-YAY! Are you playing with new goodies you received for the holidays? Share you creations using #EllenHutsonSaturYAY so we call all see what you’re up to! I can’t wait to see what you’re making.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this project. Until next time, Happy Satur-YAY and I hope you have a fabulous day!
