12 Tags of Christmas 2020 – Day 1 with Sandy Allnock

Welcome to Day 1 of 12 Tags of Christmas 2020!

We’re kicking off our annual 12 Tags of Christmas with a bang – please welcome, Sandy Allnock – who’s created a wonderful tag inspired by “Silver Bells”!

Hello and MERRY CHRISTMAS! It’s not too early to say that right! It’s December! I’m Sandy and the fact that we’re doing the 12 days series of tags feels so……normal. Nothing in 2020 has felt normal. But this does!

This year the tags are inspired by songs – mine is Silver Bells, with the whole city sidewalks, busy sidewalks idea. I made a tiny little artwork while singing loudly in my studio! Don’t worry, I didn’t sing in the video!

I used the Shaker Globe and Merry Little Christmas dies for most of my tag – cutting them to make a little layered scene. Color was added with an airbrush – note that you’d need to get a compressor to use the ABS-3 and a cord (your compressor may come with one already) to hook the two up. But then you’d be set to airbush your heart out. What a great gift to ask Santa for!

The colors I picked were to match this purple wrapping paper – I am (GASP) out of Christmas papers, can I just use this!?!?! Will I get arrested? The BV08, RV06, and B26 were perfect, and the Queen for a Day ink by Catherine Pooler worked great for the to/from.

I hope you’ll take part in the 12 Days of Christmas linkup – just think, you can do 12 quick tags and be done with them by December 12th! And a BONUS treat from me this month: See my video here for details.

If I don’t see you before then, have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hannukkah, a Happy New Year, and everything else that’s celebrated in this most festive season!

Sandy
