I have always loved the song “White Christmas” and the line about “where the treetops glisten” was my inspiration for today’s tag!

I started by die-cutting the largest tag from the Tag Trio die set with vellum and die-cut it again with the Twirling Flurries die. The die cuts and embosses little stitched designs and holes that really give it the impression of a blustery winter night! Next I tore white cardstock and die-cut it with the tag die to create a textured snowy ground for my scene and adhered it to the bottom of the tag.

Home and Hearth is one of the very first sets I ever purchased at Ellen Hutson YEARS ago and it is still one of my favorite whimsical holiday sets. I die-cut the houses, trees, and stars from white cardstock and then adhered them to my tag. I stamped a sentiment from MFT Stamps’ Bitty Holiday Wishes with delicata silvery shimmer ink and set it with my heat gun.

Then it was time to make my treetops glisten!! I added a little nuvo crystal glaze to the trees and then sprinkled them with distress mica flakes and Lawn Fawn prisma glitter. The mica flakes are gorgeous and almost opalescent when they catch the light and the glitter adds a ton of sparkle to the trees! I also like that the flakes are kinda chunky which adds a lot of dimension to the trees! I added a thin silver ribbon to finish my tag and now it’s ready for a white Christmas!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope my tag inspired you! I can’t wait to see your tags! Until next time, have a fantastic holiday season and happy crafting!

Jess
