Hi Friends and Meowy Christmas!! If you’re like me and have a few cat lovers on your Christmas Shopping list, these tags will be the “purrrfect” addition to their wrapped gifts. Don’t forget to wrap your packages with ribbon or string, the kitty cat needs a present too.
I used the adorable Trinity Stamps Do Re Me OW Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies and ALL three tags from my favorite EBE Tag Trio by Christine Herrin Designer Die set. The sizes of the tags in this set are nice and big which gives you lots of real-estate to play with which is extra great for scene building.
To get started, I stamped all of the images with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I embossed all the images with clear embossing powder and started coloring with an assortment of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut each of the images.
With my pile of Caroling Cat stamped die cuts, I started arranging the different images to the tag backgrounds to create little Kitty Cat Caroling scenes. I realized the white circle tag against the dark background looked just like a moon and I moved between singing Meowy Christmas and “That’s Amore”.
To continue with the Caroling in the Moonlight theme, I added Moon Dust Ranger Stickles for extra dimension and sparkle to the white circle tag. You could also use any type of glitter paste or glitter drops to create the same effect like Tonic Nuvo Silver Crystals Glitter Drops, Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel or Tonic Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. Then I stamped and die-cut the sentiment and attached it over the moon which gave it a “cloud hovering over the moon effect”.
For extra pop against the solid black background, I add hints of white embossing powder to each of the tags. I love how this simple step added so much interest to each of the tag designs. To complete the tags, I adhered all the images using foam tape and liquid adhesive and added a white heat-embossed TO-FROM to the back of the tag (I’ll use a white gel pen to add the names).
So there we are friends, two Caroling in the Moonlight Cat Scene Tags purrfect for your favorite Team Cat Family and Friends. Wishing you a MEOWY Christmas and a Happy New Year!
