Hello everyone, Adelina here sharing a bit of my humor for today’s 12 Tags of Christmas project. *laugh* Do you have any besties that you have an inside joke with? Perhaps a friend that has a great sense of humor? Well, today’s tag theme is for you!

I started by pulling out the Lawn Fawn Car Critters & the Car Critters Christmas add-on for my tags. When I saw the reindeer the first Christmas Carol that came to mind was “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”. I’m not the only one, right? I have to believe that was somewhere in the back of someone’s mind when they saw this stamp set! *laugh*

I stamped the images using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black, it’s a Copic friendly ink. Then I started pulling out a few Copic markers to come up with my color palette.

Once I colored up a few images, my tag color scheme started to really come together. I decided to stay with traditional Christmas colors for this project. I added images from three other Lawn Fawn stamps sets – Snowglobe Scenes, Tiny Gingerbread & Ho-Ho-Holidays. A total of FIVE Lawn Fawn stamp sets were used and I absolutely love how the similarity of the style of their artwork allows you to combine sets easily. It really made this process much fun for me.

For the base of my tag I used the largest of the Tag Trio dies by Christine Herrin. It’s a nice big base that provides lots of tag real estate for this fun project.

The Lawn Fawn Car Critters stamp set is is large enough to be a tag on it’s own, but I really wanted to create a scene with a variety of stamp sets for this particular project.

I decided to do two versions of my tag … before and after. *laugh* All in good jest, my friends! I cut the tag from the newest Essentials by Ellen, Modern Graphics Vol. 2 cardstock and foiled it with Heidi Swapp reactive foil. These Modern Graphics work great with reactive foils.

This year has been intense (to say the least) and I wanted to make something really light-hearted for this project. I mean, the holidays come with their own bag of complications without a pandemic! Am I right?! *laugh*

Adelina isn’t the only one inspired by “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”! Check out what these designers have created …
