We’re thrilled to welcome another talented guest artist to the blog today – Aheba Williamson. She makes magic with thread and paper, and we think you’ll love her unique, creative style as much as we do!
Hello Lovelies,
I am so excited to share this project with you as a guest designer for Ellen Hutson. If you know me, you know that I love stitching and thread on cards. I live for loads and loads of texture. I love the feeling of running my fingers over the fibres. So, it is no surprise that I was immensely delighted to try the new stitching dies from Essentials by Ellen.
For months I have been itching to make a fringe card and these dies turned out to have the perfect sized holes for the fluffiest fringe. I chose to have fringe around the entire card but you can place the fringe around a sentiment, tag, or focal point if you would like. I officially want to fringe all the things and I have not been able to keep my hands off of this puffy goodness.
This card is just a glimpse of the many wonderful ways these dies can be used in your craft room.
In addition to the supplies listed at the end of this post, you’ll need an approximately 1/4 inch wooden dowel – or a pen. Check out the video below to see how I made the fringe or download this step-by-step PDF.
I hope you will use these dies to add some texture to your cards. Thank you so much for stopping by.
