Sweet packaging is half the fun when it comes to Halloween goodies! Julie is sharing a not-so-scary Haunted House box she’s planning to tuck little treats into for her granddaughters!
Hey, hi, hello there! Julie here on the blog this fine Monday with a packaging idea for the little ghouls and goblins in your life! My two little grand-ghouls adore Halloween—as long as it’s not too scary! The youngest, age 2, is in love with ghosts, and will stop everything and begin “boo-ing” at first sight of them! Knowing this, I had to make up these little houses ahead of spooky season so I can stuff them with sweets and treats!

TIPS:
- If you plan accordingly, you’ll be able to get two complete house boxes die cut from one 8.5 x 11” sheet of card stock.
- Strong, double-sided tape or hot glue works well for box assembly and comes in a variety of widths.
- My granddaughters are ages eight and two, so I try to keep Halloween fun, light and never scary; a pastel color scheme + whimsical images go a looooong way for younger ones.
- Die cut stickers, individual (temporary) tattoo designs, lip balm, novelty pencil erasers, mini play dough favors, small bath bombs, etc. can fit inside, if you prefer an alternative to sweets and candies.
- Small battery operated tea lights also fit perfectly inside; you could make an entire light-up village with these cute little houses!
