Hi there!
I’m thrilled to be participating in this year’s 12 Tags of Christmas! The amazing Becky Roberts and I are teaming up to bring you tags that sing: I’ll Be Home For Christmas!
To me, Christmas at home brings images of a crackling fire, stockings hung up from the mantle, and fresh greenery that you can smell while you watch the snow falling outside. I brought the carol to life in my tags by filling the big red stockings with berries and greenery from different stamp sets, and setting them against a snowy night-sky backdrop.
I used EH’s Sweet Surprises for the stockings, and some of the sprigs found in that set. I also brought in more greenery from Holiday Characters. I liked the mix of the 2 styles of illustration – Holiday Characters is a little more whimsical, and I thought it all looked sweet together.
Behind the stocking, I used Lawn Fawn’s Starry Sky Stencil, and their white stencil paste to bring the night sky to life. To finish off, I added some red and white twine to the tags. I created a little photo tutorial so you could see how I colored the stocking using copic markers. I hope this helps you!
We have our friend Becky Roberts teamed up with Elena! Here’s how she was inspired by the I’ll Be Home For Christmas carol:
