A classic, clean and simple card is always in style! We’re thrilled to have our guest, Amy Tsuruta, back on the blog to show you how she was inspired by CAS cards and our new Cozy Cuppa set. Keep reading and follow along to find out how you can enter to WIN your very own Cozy Cuppa Stamp & Die Combo set!
Clean and simple card designs can be more than just a one layer project. Incorporating heavy amounts of white space can kick a design into a CAS category. I’ve designed a project that features the new Cozy Cuppa by Julie Ebersole just in time for the Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
Ellen Hutson LLC is a proud super sponsor. Check the Hop Post for all the details and for a chance to win the new Cozy Cuppa set!
Here’s how I was inspired:
Although I incorporated many images from the Cozy Cuppa set in this project, it still has a clean feel because of the white space. The base is an A2 sized Bristol Panel for easier ink blending.
- I used the Essentials Arches to make a stencil so that I could blend the shape in Catherine Pooler’s Wintergreen ink. I finished it off with water droplets.
- The whip and marshmallows both have glitter from my stash.
Do you notice how I stamped both the mug and gingerbread cookie on colored cardstock? I like the mix and match of cardstock and Copic coloring! Then, the sentiment and outline of the gingerbread have been heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder.
I love the unexpected use of Concord & 9th’s Grapefruit for a holiday card. I’m a big fan of nontraditional colors.
Thanks so much for stoppin’ by today!
