Interactive Holiday Card

Hi everyone! Welcome to Satur-YAY! It’s Carissa Wiley here with you today. We’re celebrating the weekend by getting our craft on with some of the newest products by Lawn Fawn.

When I saw the most recent release from Lawn Fawn, I went absolutely crazy! So much good stuff in this release…including some fun interactive dies. I thought I would use the Mini Pop Up Box to create a fun interactive card. I’ll be pairing it with the Say What? Christmas Critters stamps and dies. These may have Christmas in the name, but they can definitely be used year round.

The Mini Pop Up Box element is really easy to assemble inside your card. When complete, you have a fun surprise inside for the recipient. I love cards that have fun surprises. And since this one is so easy to put together, I could really see making several of these.

I colored some of the Say What? Christmas Critters using Copic Markers. I really tried to keep the coloring simple. I’ll have the exact colors I used listed at the end of this post. I love the reindeer. He is adorable. And the unicorn, llama and penguin could be used on cards other than holiday cards.

I wanted to keep the front of the card simple. I used the little penguin from Say What? Christmas Critters and layered him up with several different die cuts and some Really Rainbow Christmas petite patterned paper from Lawn Fawn. I love the bright, happy mix of patterns in this 6×6 pad.

I’ll walk you through the creation of this card in today’s video tutorial, so be sure to check that out. I think you’ll be surprised to find out how easy this interactive card is.
