Fun Ways to Use Essentials by Ellen Instant Photo Frames

We are delighted that our sweet friend Rubeena has started her own line of enamel pins, we are thrilled that we are able to carry them in the EH shop and we are tickled pink that she is here today sharing ways to use the Essentials by Ellen Instant Photo Frames!

Hello, friends. It’s Rubeena from A Rare Ruby (soon to be The Creativity Enabler)! It’s been quite a while since I made cards but life happens so sometimes you have to adjust your priorities. My daughter recently turned one and I wasn’t prepared for all the crawling, climbing, grabbing, and now walking! I also launched a small enamel pin shop online, The Gray Muse, just a month ago. I am happy to announce that Ellen Hutson LLC is my very first wholesaler. If you’ve been wanting to add some enamel pins to your collection, you can find my first release in the Ellen Hutson LLC shop! I have some very exciting new designs coming, and they are perfect for artists, crafters, and makers.

For this post, I created three cards. I was inspired by Carly’s style and show you how incorporated some of my products to make the perfect gifts for friends.

I used Instant Photo Frames from the most recent Essentials by Ellen release. I die-cut the small frame about ten times and the large from about five times. I stacked all the pieces together and glued them using the Gina K. Connect Glue (my favorite!).

For the first card, I stamped one of the line stamps from Painted Stripes using Altenew Citrus Burst Ink Pad several times down the card base. I glued down the large stacked frame over the center.

I took one of the frame centers and stamped the lady from Leading Ladies Everyday Hero Lady by Brandi Kincaid and Gina K. Amalgam Ink in Jet Black. I used Copic markers to color in the image and then glued it in the center.

I stamped “hey friend” from Handful on the bottom part of the frame. I wanted to add another sentiment so I took a phrase from one of my favorite sets, Amazing Women. I stamped it using clear embossing ink and then heat embossing it with WOW Embossing Powder in Opaque Bright White, Super Fine. I trimmed the phrase and mounted it with foam tape on the card.

For the second card, I stamped the same stamp but used Altenew Puffy Heart Ink Pad. I added gold paint splatters on the front and let it dry. I die-cut the center of the front part of the card with the small instant frame. Then using the front as a guide, I glued down the stacked frame on the inside of the card. This allowed me to mount one of my enamel pins, Handmade Card, on the center using tack to keep it in place. Of course, the pin is thick so I will not be able to use an A2 envelope for this card, but it does make a great gift to place in a box or gift bag. I stamped “hey friend” from Handful on the frame. On the inside, I stamped “you are my favorite” since it’s going to a good friend. I love how this card turned out!

For the last card, I used all the instant frame center cuts since I didn’t want them to go to waste. I used several Altenew ink pads directly on each one to create a “swatch.” I placed them over a napkin so I wouldn’t stain my work surface or any of my cardstock (inky finders, anyone?) To make it more fun, I decided to add some glitter! I used Nuvo glue pen and threw on some Lawn Fawn Prima Glitter. It definitely makes the colors pop! For the sentiment, I used “treat yo self” from Handful. I stamped it with clear embossing ink on black cardstock and heat set it with white embossing powder. I trimmed down the sentiment and mounted all the swatches and sentiment with foam tape for dimension. On the inside, I added an Ink Swatches Sticker (which coordinates with my Ink Swatches Enamel Pin) using a glue dot. I think its makes for a great gift for crafty friends who love to swatch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you were inspired to create for yourself and for a friend. Be sure to check out The Gray Muse pins in the EH shop and my shop The Gray Muse to see my enamel pins and stickers. Have a great day!
