We are downright delighted to have Therese Calvird “substitute teaching” for Julie in today’s Hello Monday and she is sharing 3 gorgeous Essentials by Ellen Mondo Wildflowers cards with 3 different ways to watercolor!

Hi, it’s Therese and today I share 3 different watercolor designs Brandi’s new Mondo Wildflowers stamp. I wanted to show that it’s easy to get a different look using a variety of watercolors but also by using different card designs.

Tips:
- When watercoloring work in areas that aren’t touching each other and allow each section to dry before painting directly next to it.
- You could use a heat tool to speed up the process if you need.
- Coloring an embossed image is also a quicker option as you will not have to wait for drying time between sections.
- I really enjoyed using the Ink On 3 Fadeout Ink, but it is possible to do no Line coloring with a waterproof light colored ink that you have on hand.
- I kept a similar color theme throughout to make it easier to compare but you could use whatever colors you like.

What a lovely stamp that is, and didn’t you do it proud! My favourite card of these three beauties is the floral frame, absolutely stunning! The last sentiment could have come direct from Peter Cundall…BTW, I think you and Julie must wear the same size shoes…Di
Thank you so much Di

I could watch you watercolor all day! I love that 2nd card especially. What a great idea!
Can you tell me all the sizes of brushes you were using? I heard you mention a size 4 but I think that was just for one part.
These brushes are great! From memory I used a Size 4 and Size 8. Thanks so much for your lovely comments!
I love your no-line watercoloring. Your cards made me happy too!

I could listen to and watch you make cards all day long. I learn so much and all of your work is just gorgeous. I am an official groupie!!
hahaha, totally made me laugh out loud, you can officially be my very first ‘groupie’ Kathleen!
I just noticed this way down at the bottom of my inbox, Therese, and I’m so glad I didn’t delete it because watching you watercolor in all three mediums was a great lesson. I did see where you used the leftovers from the border card and that was brilliant. It’s always a pleasure to see you create.
