Today I’m going to show you four ways to use vellum on your cards. We’re going to go over some of my favorite techniques, featuring one of my favorite products, vellum. I’ll show you ways to add color to your vellum using your ink pads, a fun faux watercolor technique, embossing and stamping on vellum. In addition, I’ll show you my favorite adhesives for vellum. Spoiler, they’re probably ones you already have.
EH Ambassador Carissa Wiley here with you today to show you how easy it is to incorporate vellum on your next card project.
All of todays cards feature the newest stamps from the Essentials By Ellen line. I absolutely love the bold new florals in this release. They are perfect for those who love to color. But today, I’m going to show you ways to use them without picking up a marker.
I’ll also be using the brand new Better Days Ahead stamp set, which is a gift with purchase available exclusively at EllenHutson.com. You’re gonna love this stamp set!
Be sure to check out today’s video. I’ll be walking you through four brand new cards that feature these fun vellum techniques. You can also check out today’s video tutorial over on our YouTube channel.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you’ve been inspired to add a little vellum to your next project. Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!

this is just what I needed! I love the look of vellum, but it has always SCARED me! Never was sure about stamping or coloring it – much less adhering it!!! Wow, but you nailed all my vellum fears. Thanks so much.
Awesome video, loaded with great vellum techniques and tips! Thanks a bunch! One question though: you mentioned wrong side/right side of the vellum, but how can you tell?
Carissa you are an amazing talent. God has surely blessed you. Gorgeous cards!
And oh man I love that rainbow!! Just can’t spend $100. Such a fun set though! Nice work.
Great ideas with vellum! I love the look it adds to a card! Awesome designs and I especially love the rainbow set!
Great video, beautiful cards!!!
Great tips for vellum; I love using it, too. By the way, now I can’t get that song (“Thank You For Being a Friend”) out of my head. I’m so old I actually know it was the theme song from The Golden Girls. When you get to be my age your head is full of useless information!
