How To Use Small Stamps In Shaker Cards

Are you getting excited to create some fun fall cards for your friends & family? EH Design Ambassador Carly Minner is here today to share her first fall card of the season and how she uses small stamps to create shaker cards!

Hi Crafty Friends! I have been super busy lately but not crafting…my hands & heart have been very full with this miracle…

This is my little guy Callen. He was born at the end of July and as you can imagine I haven’t been crafting much…but when Grandma (my mom) stopped by to snuggle Cal the other day, I made a shaker card using some small stamped images to make custom shaker bits!

I used a partial DOUBLE die cutting technique to create a shaker window with Lil’ ‘Squatch in it. I learned this fun technique from Miss Julie (you can see her use it in this video).

Then I used small leaf stamps from the Essentials by Ellen Cozy Lady set and Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 4 to make my own shaker bits.

I stamped, colored & die cut some leaves. Then for each leaf, I die cut two more plain leaves from white cardstock and adhered all three layers together.

I love using small stamp images for DIY shaker bits because you can really customize them. You can choose any color scheme and make really fun themed shaker cards too!

Wouldn’t it be cute to do a coffee-themed shaker card with Lil’ ‘Squatch? There is an adorable to-go cup in the Cozy Lady set. That might be my next project when Grandma comes over again 😉

Hope you are having a fab week and thanks for stopping by! Hugs!
