Hello, there—it’s Julie! I love Valentine’s Day, but I don’t actually own any Valentine stamp sets. Which got me to thinking about how I could use products in my “everyday” collection to achieve something sweet and still distinctively Valentine-ish!
TIPS:
- The Classic Block Alphabet Die is a great all-around set to have on hand; the clean design is simple, and sized to spell out a wide variety of sentiments. It works with almost every style and occasion.
- Whenever you plan to run more than one die through your machine, use washi or removable tape to secure them; sometimes the pressure of the rollers or motor can cause them to shift and slide on top of one another, permanently damaging the die blades.
- Make a DIY sticky mat by wrapping a piece of chipboard with Press N Seal (facing out); you can temporarily tack down die cuts for ink blending or applying glue to the back, etc. Clean any ink on the sticky mat by using a damp cloth or baby wipe and allow to air dry.
- Use thin foam adhesive dots to help reduce the amount of loft but still provide dimension.
