The Essentials by Ellen Berry Basket isn’t just an adorable 3D box, it can be a fun card too! Carly is here today to share how she’s stretching her dies and turning the box into a card.
Could the EBE Berry Box be any cuter?! I just love it and I love that you can make cards with it too!
For this card I started by die cutting the Berry Box twice, not worrying about having the base flap.
I cut the side tab off the top and folded the top at the score line. I also cut off any of the bottom flap that remained. Then I used strong double sided tape to adhere the two box die cuts together.
Once my little berry box card holder was ready, I started on my strawberries. This stamp is easiest to use when you make a little jig, die cutting first and then stamping. (Julie has a great video about creating a jig, watch it HERE.)
To add a little bit of color variation, I stamped the strawberries first with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar. Then I used a blending tool to add a little Picked Raspberry and stamped again.
I cut a flat card to fit in the berry basket, 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 and ink blended a bit of Picked Raspberry on the bottom. Next I adhered strawberries to the top of the card so they would peek out when the card was in the berry basket.
This card would be perfect to add to a gift bag. And if you made a folded card to put in the berry basket, its perfect to hold a Starbucks or Target gift card 😉
