Cards Inspired by Pantone Swatches

Are you looking for a clean & simple card design? Maybe something with a graphic & colorful inspiration? We can help! Carly is here with cards inspired by Pantone swatches and using the 2022 Color of the Year, Very Peri!

I love clean & simple card designs. I love Pantone Swatches that look like this…

And I love the 2022 Color of the Year Very Peri so I created these cards!

The solid swatch card was a breeze to create! I applied Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac ink direct to white cardstock. After the ink was dry, I cut the panel to 4-1/4 x 4 and adhered it to a white card.

I stamped the sentiment in black, combining a large word & tiny sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Totally Random Sayings Vol. 2 (one of my all time favs) and Essentials by Ellen Thank You For Being A Friend.

I liked the first swatch card so much, I decided to do another but this time with a pattern.

To create the pattern I first stamped the flower middles one at a time. Then I stamped the flower over the middle in clear embossing ink and embossed with clear powder.

After all the flowers were done, I applied Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac over the top and the embossed flowers resisted the ink. Then I wiped the excess Shaded Lilac ink off the flowers with a paper towel. I love using this embossed resist technique!

Again I cut the panel down to 4-1/4 x 4 and adhered to a white card. Then I stamped the sentiments and this time I added a little faux splatter with a pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to create swatch-style cards or anything that makes you smile!

Hugs!

Carly
