It’s Time to Prep For Mother’s Day – 3 Card Ideas!

There are many types of mother figures and ways to thank the special people for being in your life, today Therese shares 3 cards sure to inspire!

Hi it’s Therese, and today I wanted to make something special for those important women who influence our lives. I am sharing 3 different styles to help inspire you to personalise your project, Whimsical, Floral and one for the Kids!

PRO TIP: You may notice that all of the cards today use the same basic design. This is a fabulous way to create multiple cards, but still be able to personalise it for the recipient.

Let’s begin! I started by die cutting multiples of the Color Me Strips – Large with some sweet cardstock from Concord & 9th.

Then I adhered these onto 3 A2 top folding card fronts to create some fab striped backgrounds.

Style #1 Whimsical

For the woman with a sense of fun and adventure… and maybe a sprinkle of humor (wink).

I used the Good Day Stamp Set to create my Copic colored scene, which included a pink car (why not)!

And you may also notice that I added the Folk Hearts die for the heart on the centre of each of the designs.

The Classic Block Numbers & Symbols and Classic Block Alpha were perfect for this sentiment.

Style #2 Floral

For the classic, sophisticated woman… or maybe the gardener, this next style is just for her!

Flowers never go out of style and this Mondo Tulip is stunning. I did some simple Copic colouring again.

And this image worked with the Folk Hearts die like a dream.

This time I added a sweet heat embossed sentiment from the Besties Stamp Set.

And this sentiment was die cut with an Essential Circles die.

Style #3 Kids

Yes, it’s time to let the kids give a helping hand and create something a little special that will be cherished…. for their Super Hero!

I stamped the Leading Ladies – Everyday Hero Lady directly on the die cut heart. With a little help, this project would be such fun to do together.

What child wouldn’t like to do a little coloring! Then, they could also adhere the sentiment as well as pop up the heart with foam squares!

I used the Tall N Skinny Alpha Die Set as well as the Thank You For Being a Friend Stamp Set to create this sentiment.

All together now….

I hope that you have been inspired to create something beautiful for your Mother or that special Mother Figure that you may have in your life. And if you do, I’d love you to share it with me @lostinpaper, as well as @ellenhutsonllc. We can’t wait to see what you make!

NICE! I especially love the Mondo Tulip card (my Mom’s favorite flower). I have most of the stuff you used, but why can’t I make something as nice as you did??? ARGH! 🙂
