We think sending happy little notes to the ones we love is always a good idea and they are easy to create with the Essentials by Ellen Mini Note die! Carly is here today with a quick tutorial on how to make cute & colorful mini notes.

Crafting is definitely something I do for my mental health. Creating makes me feel like me and I feel even more joy when I can craft something that will make someone I love smile, like these sweet little notes. Plus they are super simple to put together and easy to decorate with stamped or die cut images!
Here’s the process…

Die cut many Mini Notes from Desert Storm cardstock. And use paper trimmer to cut little 2″ white cardstock squares to go inside.

Stamp “open here” on Mini Notes and stamp sentiments from Essentials by Ellen Besties set on white squares (or handwritten messages are fun too).

Fold Mini Notes and adhere squares inside. Use double-sided tape around just the frame of the mini note to adhere it closed. This makes it easy for the recipient to open along the perforated lines and see the message.

Decorate notes with simple color blocking created by masking with low-tack tape and ink blending. And decorate with bright & glossy die cuts…cut three of each shape, adhere together, top with Glossy Accents and a little glitter.
TIP: I place a loop of low-tack tape on an acrylic block, place my die cut shape on the tape and then add the Glossy Accents & glitter. Then I can put the block somewhere “safe” to dry.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you feel inspired to create something today!
