Tips For Simple Stitched Cards

Does the idea of stitching on your cards intimidate you? We promise it isn’t as hard as it might seem! Carly is here to share a clean & simple stitched card design along with her tips for creating stitched cards!

I’ve said it before and I will tell you again, I can’t sew. My wonderful, patient, accomplished seamstress mother has tried more times than we both can count to teach me some basic sewing skills and yet I still can’t even thread a sewing machine.

However I have decided that with a few fab tools & tricks, I can create stitched cards like this…

Here are my tips for some simple & easy stitched cards…

I started in each corner and stitched diagonal lines in a color blocked design (7 lines of each color).
I stitched all the white lines on both sides before stitching orange, then all the orange before dark pink, etc. The lines started to overlap in the middle.
After stitching four colors on each side, I added 7 teal striped on the left only.
