Clean and simple card designs can be more than just a one layer project.  Incorporating heavy amounts of white space can kick a design into a CAS category.  I’ve designed a project that features the new Cozy Cuppa by Julie Ebersole just in time for the Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Here’s how I was inspired:

Although I incorporated many images from the Cozy Cuppa set in this project, it still has a clean feel because of the white space. The base is an A2 sized Bristol Panel for easier ink blending.

Do you notice how I stamped both the mug and gingerbread cookie on colored cardstock?  I like the mix and match of cardstock and Copic coloring! Then, the sentiment and outline of the gingerbread have been heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder.

I love the unexpected use of Concord & 9th’s Grapefruit for a holiday card. I’m a big fan of nontraditional colors.

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by today!

Amy
