Hi crafty friends! It’s Jeannie here and today, I wanted to share three different shaped cards featuring the Nature Walk stamp & die set. Essentials by Ellen has a ton of different shapes in their line that come with many different sized dies. You may just use these shapes as an additional layer to your A2 cards, but you can also it up making by using those dies for a unique, shaped card.

For all three cards, I stamped and die cut the same images from the Nature Walk set. For my background, I went with rainbow colors ink blending since it’s now spring and matches perfectly with the Nature Walk set. I went with three different shapes: a typical A2 card panel, a circle and an arch. I kept most of my images on the bottom left hand corner. With more space, I place them loosely but with less space, I chose to do a tighter composition instead of removing images.
TIPS FOR SHAPED CARDS:
- To create a hinge for a card base, use the shaped die to cut out two panels. One will be for your card panel. For the second panel, score it at 3/8 at the top of the die cut and add adhesive to adhere to your front card panel.
- Sketch out your design ahead of time to make sure your images will fit on your shape. If you are using die cuts for your card, play around with placement before adhering the pieces.
- With small spaces, use a tighter composition to avoid removing images for a full look to your card.
