Easy Background Scenes for Stamped Images + EBE Sneak Peek

Hello! I’m so excited to be with you here today with a couple of ideas featuring the August Leading Ladies, Teacher Lady and Medial Lady! I decided to create two cards today featuring hand drawn background scenes that perfectly compliment and showcase these new leading ladies!

For the Teacher Lady background I drew in some straight lines with a ruler and pencil to create the “ground” and a framed chalkboard. Once I had the lines perfectly placed, I traced the pencil lines with a Copic fine line pen, stenciled in the wall with the Tim Holtz Bricked Stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Ink, and colored in the “carpeted floor” and chalkboard with Copic Markers.

The chalkboard is the perfect place to add the greetings for this design! I used sentiments from the Teacher Lady Stamp Set as well as the Totally Random Sayings Vol. 2 stamp set. I stamped the greetings with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder to mimic the look of white chalk on a chalkboard!

The images from the Teacher Lady Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the Teacher Lady coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the background as shown.

The Medical Lady background scene was again drawn in with a pencil first, and traced with a Copic fine line pen. I created a “floor” and then a set of doors to mimic the look of hospital or a medical facility doors. I wanted to use the doors as a place for my greeting. Again, this is a natural place for the sentiment and works into the scene as it gives the illusion of signage on the doors! The sentiment was stamped with black ink and the cross was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with red embossing powder.

I colored in the background with Copic Markers and then stamped the Medical Lady and images on smooth white cardstock, colored in the images with Copic Markers, and die cut the images with the coordinating Medical Lady Dies.

A bit of Glossy Accents on the pill bottle and needle complete the design.
