Two Minute Tip: Using Simple Stamp & Die Designs as Backgrounds

Creating backgrounds using simple stamp and die designs is quick and easy! It’s Justine here today with a fun quick and easy video on how to use the Faded Hex Stamp and Die set from Birch Press Design. This stamp set can create hundreds of different types of backgrounds if you switch up the layout or the colour combination and they are perfect for simple stamping, adding a sentiment and having a finished creation.

Throughout the video I used a variety of Catherine Pooler Inks: Limoncello, Sauna, Tiki Torch, Tutti Frutti, Orange Twist and Samba to create a fun set of cards that is perfect to give away as a gift. The bright and vibrant colours just make the cards so colourful and happy!

I used the Misti Stamping tool to help me with spacing and ensuring that my stamps were straight on my panel. You can also choose to use a block for a more abstract appearance if your spacing is uneven.

The Hex Fade also comes in a Line Fade design / die as well if you prefer stripes to hexagons or you can mix and match them for even more possibilities. I honestly had to stop myself at 5 backgrounds or I would have stamped all day!
