Watercoloring With Distress Oxide On Dark Surfaces

Have you tried painting with your Distress Oxide Reinkers yet? We love it and we are so glad that Emily shared her first watercoloring with Distress Oxide video! Now she is back with another oxide idea that is knocking our socks off…watercoloring on dark surfaces! Wait until you see this…

Watercoloring With Distress Oxide On Dark Surfaces

Emily Midgett here with you today sharing another installment of Exploring With Emily. I have shown you how easy it is to watercolor with your Oxide Reinkers in a previous video, but this month, we’re focusing on the opaque qualities of the Distress Oxide line by using them to watercolor on a black surface! The opacity of the Oxide reinkers allows for super vibrant color to shine through even on a black background. I created a special, almost “chalkboard” effect by making my own black background with watercolor paper and Mars Black Watercolor Grounds. Watch the video to get all of the details!!
