Learn to paint an easy watercolor background of clouds & sea and then turn it into an adorable pull tab slider card!

Easy Watercolor Clouds & A Pull Tab Slider Card

Hello colorists!! It’s Sandy Allnock back with more coloring….today I’ll be showing you how to paint a beautiful puffy-cloud sky above the ocean – and we’ll enable two sharks in love to express their feelings!

Easy Watercolor Clouds & A Pull Tab Slider Card

The Jawsome set by Studio Katia had a boy and girl shark in it – which just cried out for a little “action,” right? This could be a great love card for a guy – but also would be fun for a friend with the sentiment I selected.

Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

Wasn’t that sky fun and easy? I hope you try it: big piled-up puffy clouds can have a HUGE impact on a card – and take up a lot of “scene” space! The dot card has enough paint on it to create a lot of cards – and they come not only in little size like my pallette, but there are 66 color cards and 238 colors too.

There are tons of ways to construct a slider like this one but I go for simple: figure out where the pull tab needs to slide along, and put dimensional adhesive on either side to create a space for the tab to slide along in. If you want you can put a little adhesive on the far left end to keep from pushing the tab too far left, but I don’t find that’s necessary – the twine wouldn’t let it go in too far.

And in case no one has told you today…You. Are. Jawsome! Have a fantastic day, and I’ll be back next month with some more coloring!
Sandy

Fun card. I have lots of DS dot charts—just need to quit “hoarding” them 😉
