Looking for a fun and easy way to package a gift card? We can help!
Whether it’s the holidays or any other gift-giving occasion, gift cards continue to be popular to give and fun to receive—especially when they’re presented in an “out-of-the-ordinary” way.

In today’s video, Julie transforms an ordinary A-2 card into an elegant gift card sleeve. They’re easy to make with a few score lines and a couple of snips and if you need to follow a sketch, Julie has drawn up a PDF you can download.
TIPS:
- Although you can use a scoring board, a straight edge ruler and a craft knife, using a straight blade trimmer that comes with a scoring blade, like the Fiskars 12” Paper Trimmer helps speed the whole process up because you don’t need to switch tools.
- No time to color? Clear emboss your images onto a colored card stock for an easy elegant look!
- A Teflon Bone folder helps create crisp folds along your score lines and doesn’t leave a shine on the paper.
- Due to varying paper thicknesses/weights, you may have to trim the interior sliding panel once you’ve assembled the sleeve, to make sure it slides in and out easily and doesn’t cause the sleeve to buckle.

Of all the gift card holders I’ve made through the years, this one looks like the easiest to make, give, and use! Thanks, Julie, for such a great idea!
I will be making these!
