Stamping Skinny Sentiments

Long skinny sentiments, like the ones in the Essentials by Ellen That Thing You Did set, offer a lot of flexibility—the stamps themselves can often be cut apart, easily masked, make great “banners” on your layouts, etc.

Today Julie’s sharing an easy way to stamp multiple sentiments simultaneously onto different colors of card stock, rather than one at a time.

TIPS:

  • Temporarily tack strips of card stock to a typing paper base to keep them stable and aligned for stamping and heat embossing.
  • Clear embossing over a pigment ink can give added visual pop.
  • By propping your NUVO Drops upside down, you can keep the fluid loaded in the tip; in this instance, Julie used a roll of duct tape to corral and prop them up as she worked.
  • Using Snowball Droplets (or something similar) to visually pre-plan the sizing and placement of your NUVO Drops can really help you balance them within the design and avoid overdoing them.

I love this idea! What a great idea to use up all those skinny strips of cardstock I just can’t bear to toss in the trash! Thank you, Julie!
