Hello! Jessica Frost-Ballas here for Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas!! I love anything snow related so I was thrilled to get Let it Snow as my theme! I created a snow-filled shaker tag featuring the cute little polar bear from Arctic Pals!
To start I stamped the snowglobe from Lawn Fawn’s Ready Set Snow and the polar bear from Arctic Pals with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I also stamped the iceberg from Arctic Pals onto vellum with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the images with copics and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.
Then I die-cut the solid snowglobe layer from Ready Set Snow and masked off the bottom of the globe. I blended picked raspberry, spun sugar, and shaded lilac distress oxide ink across the panel to create my sky. Once it was dry I masked off the top and blended chipped sapphire distress oxide ink to create my icy ground. Then I splattered the panel with copic opaque white to create a snowy scene! I also added a strip of vellum over the chipped sapphire to create the look of ice. Then I adhered my iceberg and polar bear to the scene!

Next it was time to start assembling my shaker tag! I adhered a layer of acetate behind the shaker frame and then lined it with a double layer of foam mounting tape to build up a barrier for my shaker! I filled the shaker liberally with clear sequins, clear seed beads, and a little glitter! I made sure it was level so that the contents could move freely and then adhered the blended panel to the foam mounting tape! Then I die-cut another solid snowglobe layer from hot pink cardstock and stamped ‘to’ and ‘from’ with versafine using Lawn Fawn’s Tiny Tags: Birthday stamp set. I also die-cut the Lawn Fawn Snow Globe Gift Tag from white cardstock and trimmed off the top. I adhered the gift tag top to the back of the pink cardstock and then adhered that to the shaker, sandwiching the tag in-between.
Finally I added a little twine and ribbon to finish off my tag! I love that you’ve created not only a fun, interactive tag for a gift, but also a great keepsake ornament that can be added to a Christmas tree after the gift is opened!!
And that’s it! I hope you’ll give my snowglobe shaker tag a try and thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic day and happy crafting!!
Jessica isn’t the only one enjoying the snow! Check out more snowy tags…
