Hello friends! Today I’m so absolutely thrilled to be sharing my take on the 12 Tags of Christmas with this shaker tag featuring a Sleigh Ride scene. Let’s get started!
The Alpine Window Designer Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock and colored in with Copic Markers. The snow was colored with B0000 and B01. The house was colored with R35, R37, R39, W6, and W8. The trees layer was colored with G24, G28, E55, and E57.
The background “sky” was colored with Hero Hues Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and allowed to air dry.
The house layer was stamped with Hero Arts sentiments using red and black inks. The house and tree layers were adhered as shown.
A layer of acetate was stamped with a Santa sleigh image from the Hero Arts Out of This World image using black StazOn ink. The acetate was adhered behind the first two layers. Foam adhesive was placed around the acetate window opening and the shaker was filled with Icicle Glitter.
The mountain border was colored with B0000 and B01 Copic Markers and adhered to the inked background. The back of the shaker scene was put in place.

A circle was die cut from Pitch Black Cardstock, stamped with “to” and “from” with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The “backing” from the tag was adhered in place. A hole was punched through the top of the tag and Lawn Trimmings Twine was placed through the top of the tag to finish the tag.
I hope this inspired you to create some “sleigh ride” shaker tags this holiday season. Have a great day!

Hi Nichol 🙂 Wonderful winter scene you created in this shaker tag!!! And oh that glimmer…awesome! Thanks for inspiring me 🙂
That is so much work! I made shaker ornaments about three years ago that look very similar to this but it was about 30 die cuts of the same paper glued together to make the circle and depth! I loved how they turned about and yours is just adorable too! I think this stamp set I’d beautiful! MERRY Christams!
So pretty!
What an adorable, tiny piece of art! I love this little scene.
This tag is a mini-masterpiece! I love all the details, especially the glitter and blue inking on the snow.
Nichol this is a fantastic scene card and I really like how you got Santa’s sleigh in there all aglow! What a magical ride! So inspiring to see!
Love this tag
love love love! Thank you for sharing your talent! I am such a fan!
This is a masterpiece!
Ooh! I actually have all the components to do this one (minus the Santa with sleigh). This really is something special. And like I have always contended, EVERYONE is delighted by a shaker die. They truly are special! Beautifully done, Nicole, thank you so much for sharing! 🙂
So many things to enjoy on your tag, the colors, sleigh, the glittery snow!
