Partial Inking Rainbow Stamping Technique

Today, I’m sharing a card that features the Constellation Background cover plate as well as Unicorns ‘n Rainbows.

First, I created my swoopy rainbow by partially inking the new Swirl Background stamp, spritzing it with water and pressing it down onto a panel of watercolor cardstock. Then, I spritzed the panel with Avery Elle’s Clear Shimmer Spray to give some subtle sparkle and a magical feel!

I love the stitching on the background from the Constellation coverplate – it adds interest without any bulk or busy-ness.

I used two of the new Essential Rectangles dies as another way to add some visual interest without additional colour or layers. These frames help to draw the eye to the centre of the panel. I popped them up on my white card base for a bit of dimension.

Even my ‘colouring’ is mostly white – the stars are yellow, but the clouds and unicorn are shaded with gray markers to look white – at least mostly, with only the tail and mane being coloured with rainbow shades!

My sentiment comes from the new Mondo Succulent set, and it’s simply stamped with Versafine Onyx ink. With all these little details, this card still looks clean and fresh!  Here’s a video…

And before you go, it’s time for Ellen’s Crafty Games!

We’re having a scavenger hunt in the EH shop! You will find a special Essentials by Ellen item with a Pot O’ Gold and a special deal for you. Place your order when the pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow!

What will the special Essentials by Ellen item be? HINT: Ardyth used it in her project! Happy Hunting!

Found it!! Ordered it!! I am sure I don’t have that yet, and I do not know why? I can use it with a lot of different stamp sets. Thank you and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
