How To Use Essentials By Ellen Hot Foil Stamps

Add some sparkle to your Christmas and Holiday Cards using foil and an elegant hot foil sentiment stamp! News flash! There are hot foil stamps coming to the Essentials By Ellen Line tomorrow, November 20th! Today I’m sharing three holiday cards featuring the brand new Hot Foil Stamps available exclusively at I’m going to show you how to add beautiful foiled images to your cards using the hot foil stamps and the Foil Press from Crafters Companion.

Hi everyone! It’s Carissa Wiley with you here today! I’m a sucker for all things foil! And when you can combine amazing hot foil holiday designs with gold foil, I’m here for it!

Foiling has always been a favorite technique. I love the gorgeous shine it adds to a project. It’s the perfect technique for holiday cards…because if there ever was a time to shine, it’s the holidays!

Essentials By Ellen is releasing three new hot foil stamp designs this week. In today’s video tutorial, I’m going to show you how to use these hot foil stamps to create some beautiful holiday cards with foiled greetings.

Hot foil stamps allow you to add a pressed foil detail to your paper crafting projects. They aren’t dies…because they don’t actually cut. They combine the look of letterpress with foil details. And the results are stunning!

I’ll be using the Foil Press from Crafters Companion to do my foiling today. But keep in mind that these hot foil stamps are compatible with the Spellbinders Glimmer Foil Machine as well!

For details on how I created each of these cards, be sure to check out today’s video tutorial.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to give hot foil stamps a try!

Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!

Thanks Carissa–your cards are gorgeous and I love these foiling projects. I don’t have a hot system, I just don’t have room for a laminator.. I do have a Geminii Jr!

I’ve resisted jumping into foiling so far but your beautiful cards might make me reconsider!
