As we close out 2020, it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day! EH Design Ambassador, Adelina, is here today to share a couple of fun ideas for shaker tags for that special someone.
Now that the holidays are behind us, it’s time to start planning for Valentine’s Day! Today I’m sharing two tag ideas to embellish your gifts for that special someone in your life.
For this first tag, I pulled out the EBE Shaker Globe die. I die cut it from a sheet from one of the patterned papers from the Hot Tropics, Honey Bee 6×6 paper pad. I cut the Shaker Globe die twice from the foam sheets to create the shaker portion. Since the area around the shaker opening is so thin, I didn’t want to fuss with cutting foam tape myself. *laugh*
I thought the Shaker Globe die it would pair nicely with one of the critters from the Peek-A-Boo Pals: Camp Wanna Stamp peeking out from inside. So I stamped and die cut the raccoon critter and colored it pink. Then I took some red clay hearts and put it over the eyes – what’s cuter than heart eyes for Valentine’s Day?!
I filled the Shaker Globe with sequined hearts and then decided to add a small circle tag from the EBE Tag Trio dies. I stamped the sentiment “you are my happy place” in some Catherine Pooler ink – Rockin’ Red. The heart sequins made the perfect finishing touch!
I used the largest of the EBE Tag Trio dies for this next shaker tag. If you received the EBE Mini-Rainbow with your purchase in November, I usedit for this project. If you didn’t, the MFT Happy Rainbows dies will also work.
I decided to use four varying shades of red/pink Catherine Pooler inks to create a monochromatic rainbow. I used the front of the tag as a template to place the rainbow on the tag base.
Next I adhered clear plastic to the back of the tag front and then added two layers of foam tape to create the shaker. I filled the shaker with tiny sequined hearts and chunky glitter.
I finished off both tags with some twine – there are a variety of baker’s twine available in the EH shop in lots of colors for your Valentine’s Day projects.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of inspiration for your Valentine’s Day projects and make some shaker tags of your own! Thanks for stopping by today!
