Sending a Little Luck Your Way with Stack-n-Slide Sentiments

Hi Friends, today I’m sharing three Stack-n-Slide Lucky-themed cards with a Go Green! and Pot’ O Gold St. Patrick’s Day Vibe.

One of my favorite go-to cardmaking supplies are big-bold word dies. You can quickly add them to a fun background or keep it clean and simple. Since you can never have too much luck, I’m stacking and sliding several shadow pieces to create multiple Layers of Color and Shine using the EBE Lucky Stamp and Die Set. 

The Stack-and-Slide Method

This technique is all about offsetting shadow die cuts so different colors or speciality papers are visible. It adds extra color, interest and dimension to your cards and you’re in Luck because it’s super simple to create. 

1. Die cut several shadow pieces in multiple color combinations along with the main Word die. I selected several pieces of green cardstock, a piece of glitter cardstock and colors of the rainbow. 
2. Create your first Stack-and-Slide layer by creating a standard Word/Shadow two-piece combination.
3. Add liquid adhesive to the back of your first layer and without touching your second shadow die cut, visually stack your pieces and then slide your top piece down and adhere it in place. You can Stack-and-Slide as many times as you like. I did a triple stack for my Green & Gold cards and then a six stack for my Rainbow Lucky Charm card. 

Extra Hints/Tips: 

• This is a great way to use all those scrap pieces of cardstock and specialty paper that you have saved up. Mix and Match to create playful color combinations.
• Using liquid glue gives you more wiggle room to adjust the pieces in case you want to show more or less of the background color. 

For my card backgrounds, I used the EBE Modern Graphics Vol. 2 by Julie Ebersole Paper Pack and added Green Deco Foil to the original black and white designs by running the cardstock and the green foil through my laminating machine.

I placed the Lucky Rainbow Stack-n-Slide on a Washi Gold Stripe and let the white space background do all the work to pop-up the word die image.

All of the sentiments were added from the coordinating Lucky Stamp set. I love how all of the sentiment stamps fit perfectly right above or below the word Lucky.
