What are some of your favorite images to use on cards? Today EH Ambassador, Jessica Frost-Ballas, is sharing two of her favorites: rainbows and unicorns and combining crafty companies for a cheery slimline card!

Ever since I was a young child rainbows and unicorns were some of my favorite things (followed closely by foxes, seals and otters)! And as a “grown-up” crafter I’m thrilled that there are so many fantastic rainbow and unicorn stamps and dies available! Two of my favorites right now are the Friendly Unicorns from MFT Stamps and the Slimline Rainbow Builder from Trinity Stamps and I thought they’d be perfect together!
I started by blending my background using blueprint sketch, shaded lilac, and milled lavender distress oxide inks. When I finished blending I splattered the panel with water and Avery Elle shimmer spray! Then I stamped a sentiment from Friendly Unicorns with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder!

I die-cut the rainbow from mainly Hero Arts and Concord & 9th cardstock using Peony (HA), Honeysuckle (C9), Grapefruit (C9), Sour Lemon (Bazzill), Sea Glass (C9), Arctic (HA), and Lavender (HA). I also used dies in the Rainbow Builder set to die-cut my clouds. Then I stamped the unicorns from Friendly Unicorns with copic-friendly ink and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I adhered my scene together with a mix of ATG adhesive and liquid glue and finished my card with a little spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal glaze! It seems like they were just meant to work together, right?
I have a video for this card that you can watch below or over on my YouTube channel here!
