Essentials by Ellen July Release Inspiration: Mondo Anthurium

Happy Friday, crafty friends! Today’s project features the stunning Mondo Anthurium stamp set from the July Release. I love this stunning image because it’s perfect for clean and simple cards. The coordinating die kicks it up a notch because it cuts out all the spaces between the stems and leaves.

First, I stamped the image using Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored it with Ranger Artist Brushes and distress inks, which I smooshed on a silicone mat. As an alternative, you can use one drop of the distress ink reinkers which will give you the same results.

While the image dried, I cut an A2 card base from white linen cardstock and ran the A2 Piercing Plate through the die cutting machine on the front of the card base to give it texture. Next I cut the second largest of the Essential Arches from white linen cardstock and silver glitter cardstock, stacking them with liquid glue.

I double stamped and heat embossed the Aloha sentiment in the bottom righthand corner, once on the card base and a second time on the image which was positioned with removable tape.

To finish, I used liquid glue to attach the silver arch to the card base, and used a combination of foam tape and liquid glue to attach the Mondo Anthurium. I added a few crystal clear droplets to embellishment the card.
