Summer of Stamping: Pretty Pink Posh Summer Circles 4 ways

The Essentials by Ellen Summer of Stamping continues this week with a collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh. Today Adelina is sharing four fun cards using the Pretty Pink Posh Summer Circles stamp set.

Hello Ellen Hutson peeps! Welcome to the Summer of Stamping with Pretty Pink Posh! Today I’m sharing cards using the Pretty Pink Posh Summer Circles combo with some of the June release stamps from Pretty Pink Posh.

I cut a piece of letter size Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock in half to make an A2 card base. Then I cut a piece down to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/5″ to create the front panel. I stamped one of the Summer Borders by Pretty Pink Posh across the front of the card. The EH Summer of Stamping combo comes with two dies. I used the circle die to cut a circle opening in the front of the card.

I aligned the front panel to the front of the card base to use it as a guide for locating my Summer of Circles image in the opening. Using foam tape and iridescent star sequins, I turned the opening into a shaker.

I left the card front black & white and only colored the images in the circle where the shaker was located. I pulled out my EH Tis the Season stamp set and added the “summer’s here – vacation calories don’t count” sentiment in black ink. Such a quick and fun card!

For this next card I stamped a sentiment from the Summer Drinks stamp set on the front of an A2 card base. This time my card was landscape. I wanted to create an asymmetrical design.

I pulled out some white iridescent colored gems and my glitter papers for this one. Bring on the bling!! I colored one of the images from the EH Summer Circles and die cut it. Then I colored it with my copic markers.

Do you like to stamp –> color –>die cut? Or do you stamp–>die cut–>color? I like the latter, I’m always curious about everyone’s process. I like to make sure the die is centered and cut perfectly before I color. If it is colored and then die cut wonky, then I’ve wasted my time coloring and I have to do it all over again. *laugh* ….ah, but I digress.

I cut some clouds using the EH Cloud die and the sun shape included as part of the EH Summer Circles combo. I used Sparkle Cardstock by Lawn Fawn for the clouds and yellow glitter paper from the Graceful Garden Memory Box Glitter pad. Finished it off with the Pearl White Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

I kept it simple again with this next card by stamping another one of the Summer Borders by Pretty Pink Posh across the front of the card and coloring it with Copic markers. I combined the EH That Thing You Did sentiment, “You Did It” with a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Summer Drinks stamp set.

Next I stamped another image from the EH Summer Circles stamp set and colored it to match the border colors. I die cut it and popped it up with some foam tape.

For my fourth and final card, I stamped and die cut two more images from the EH Summer Circles stamp set and colored them with the Copic colors above. I used the EH Landscapes die to create a wave where I stamped the sentiment. The sentiment is from the EH That Thing You Did stamp set. I used some Kraft colored cardstock and added some texture to make it look like sand. Then finished it off with some Bubble Blower embellishments by Trinity Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed these Summer of Stamping cards and that they bring you a little inspiration. I sure had a lot of fun creating with these images. Have a great day!
