Summer of Stamping: Summer Circles

I’m back with another look at Summer Circles by Pretty Pink Posh, one of the Summer of Stamping collaboration sets! I knew I wanted to create a scene with the adorable sun as the focal point so I coloured it with Copic markers and die cut it using both parts of the coordinating dies.

The larger die for the sun was die cut from white glitter cardstock but if you don’t have this cardstock, you can make it with Scor-Tape and glitter or by applying Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone, allowing it to dry and then die cutting your shapes from it.

The background for my beach scene was created using both the Abstract Sunset and A2 Piercing Plate dies. These are definitely two of my top favourite plates right now and I tend to reach for them all the time. I love that they offer so much versatility, depending on the colours and what other elements are included on the card.

I cut the card base from white linen cardstock. The images were all stamped on Neenah heavyweight cardstock and the top piece of the Abstract Sunset was also cut from the same cardstock. The Bazzill heavyweight colours from the sentiment down are Robin’s Egg, Butter Mints, Taffy, Chocolate Malt and Peanut Fudge. Up close, those last two colours are making me hungry!

The sentiments, fancy drinks and fruit are from Pretty Pink Posh’s Summer Drinks stamp set and I adore the coordinating die for the sentiment! I layered it with a die cut using Bazzill heavyweight in Peanut Fudge. To tie in with the glitter cardstock in the sun and small sliver in the Abstract Sunset, I added a combination of jewels and seed beads to mimic sparkly sand on the beach.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
