THREE WAYS TO USE PUMPKIN SEASON

Julie is sharing 3 ideas for Pumpkin Season! This two-step stamp set offers so much versatility with coordinating solid AND outline images!

Hey, there! Julie here for today’s blog post and video tutorial! I’ve been playing with the Pumpkin Season set and have 3 fun ideas to share–be sure to visit the product page and the release page (HERE) for so many more ideas! In this video, I’m sharing some helpful tips for gluing down alphabet die cuts and ombré inking effects, as well as saving a card I wasn’t satisfied with upon completion . . . Yes, it happens. This is a longer video, so grab a cuppa and cozy up. 😉

TIPS:

  • It only takes a few little doodles with a bullet nib marker to create jack-o-lantern faces for these pumpkins.
  • Plan the spacing and positioning of die cut alphabet letters, anchoring them down with washi tape; you can use the hinge method as shown in the video to glue them exactly where you want them.
  • Try partial die-cutting words (or letters), leaving them attached along either the top of the bottom edge, for a unique effect.
  • If you plan to die cut heat embossed images, try using detail (fine grind) embossing powder to avoid or reduce chipping when passing the images through the die cutter.
  • You can try wedging a thin metal spatula to help separate layers attached with tape runner—this is great for salvaging the top layer of a card, or die cut shapes, etc. without having to rebuild the entire card all over again.
