Winter + Christmas Release Week – Day Two

Welcome to Day Two of our Winter + Christmas 2021 Reveal Week! We’re sneak peekin’ through Thursday! Everyday will be packed with tons of eye candy and inspiration. Our new release hits the shop on Friday at 9:00 am pacific and we’ll be celebrating with an Instagram Hop. We have two amazing Design Ambassadors joining us today so let’s get started!

Emily Leiphart combined the new Cup of Cheer with the previously released Hands by Julie Ebersole, Tilt ‘n Rock by Julie Ebersole and Tiny Stars Background by Julie Ebersole – Hot Foil Stamp. Make sure you check out Emily’s designer tip below!

DESIGNER TIP: Don’t be afraid to use interactive dies on the edge of your card, like I did here with the Tilt ‘N Rock to make the hand pour the drink into the glass. I used the thinnest sliver of foam tape to stop the penny weight from swinging out past the panel.

Next up is Angela Simpson and her snowflake projects. She has combined the Snowflake Die set, Large Snowflake – Hot Foil Stamp, Essential Hexagons + Essential Hexagons for Stitching along with the Oh What Fun set – Gift with Purchase.

DESIGNER TIP: You can get more out of your standard dies by using them in your hot foiling machine, the same way you would with a hot foil stamp. On this card, I used the Essentials by Ellen Snowflake Dies to create smaller snowflakes in the background, running them through my die cutting machine to create an outlined impression.

Do you design special holiday cards each year to send out or do you create them year round? We would love to hear from you!

I create Christmas cards year round as they’re my favorite to make! Love the hexagon as a window–gotta try that!
