Bear Ware Fun with Guest Jill D Hawkins

Our friend Jill is back on the blog with Bear Ware fun! She is featuring the Bear Ware Dress Up sets from the latest Essentials by Ellen Release.

Happy Day! Jill here today and I am always excited to be here on the Ellen Hutson Blog to share some fun. I seem to wait til the last second to tidy up my blog post every time, thinking… Maybe I can make just one more card to add? And trust me, I am not a last-minute person. Ha!

Today I am sharing a couple cards I made with the recently released Bear Ware Dress Up Sentiments and Bear Ware Dress Up 2 + Bear Ware Dress Up 2 designer dies. I also used the Bear Ware Grand Tour… and a few more goodies I’ll talk about below.

I stamped and colored a lot of the little accouterments and items with Copic Markers in both Bear Ware Dress Up 2 and Bear Ware Dress Up 1. I do this often to decide what sticks. The best part is, if it doesn’t stick now, I am often excited later when I pull out the set to use and there are already stamped and colored items!? What? SCORE!! (As if someone else left me a gift–ha!)

I use just a few markers 😉

Here’s a photo of me “working it out” as I like to say… tinker with this, tinker with that…

I had all these little items colored and thought I would make a stack of cards without the bear. But then I ended up making one with the little bear, of course. He’s too cute! Teacher Appreciation/End of the School year is quickly approaching, so I landed on this:

The Stars are the Essential Stars and I cut them out of some glittery paper I found in my stash. However, if you love glittery paper, you’re going to want to check out the Concord & 9th Glitter Cardstock for something similar.I also used the A2 Piercing Plate 2 for some background texture. This plate is my go to everytime. I works with EVERYTHING!  I added some stitching and some scoring to the card base and voila!

And then… one more card I made to share today using the Silver Linings Dies from a little ways back. I blended on some “sunrise” type inks and kept this one really simple.

I never get tired of puns. I just think they are fun and witty, so I want to use them ALL.

I thought I’d share a couple cards I previously posted on my blog too.

Too fun!! The All Inside bear gets me every time.

I thought this one would be perfect for May 4th this year!

Thank you all for joining me here today. I look forward to using all my remaining colored images on cards–maybe just solo without my favorite bear? Can I do it? I’m not sure I can.

Sweet thanks to Amy for everything and to Ellen Hutson and team for having me along. ❤

Join me for some more fun on my blog HERE and on my Instagram HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend!
