Essentials by Ellen August Release Previews!

We’re back with our final Summer of Stamping release! Thank you for following along this summer as we collaborated with some amazing brands to bring you a summer full of crafting goodness!

While we love some warmth and sun (especially over here in Seattle, WA), we’re looking ahead to all things cozy and coming to you with a fun new release that brings that joys of the great outdoors to the comfort of your crafting room.

Exclusively at ellenhutson.com, this new line of stamps, coordinating dies, and hot foil stamps will be available THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th, at 9 AM PDT. Every day this week, we’ll be showing off previews of our new release with tips, tricks and inspiration from our Design Team. To close out the week, we’ll be having an Instagram Hop, complete with prizes and giveaways!

Today we are featuring three dreamy items to kick off our Release Week. Pair the new STARRY SKIES stamps and THROUGH THE TREES die to make gorgeous nighttime nature scenes!

We’re also thrilled to continue expanding our line of Essential Hot Foil Shapes this month, with our new ESSENTIAL STARS Hot Foil Stamps!

Cozy up around the computer and enjoy some gorgeous projects from our Design Team below!

From Angela Simpson:

“If you need an easy background but don’t feel like ink blending, try using your inks as watercolors instead. Here, I smooshed Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper ink on my glass mat, then used a waterbrush to make big brush strokes on watercolor paper. This works great if you don’t have cardstock to exactly match your ink pads!”

From Carissa Wiley:

“Adhere white die cuts on to a white card base to create a background with lots of texture and dimension.”

From Therese Calvird:

“To create the look of a forest cut apart the trees from ‘Through the Trees’ to layer them up within the star window.”

From Carly Tee Minner

When creating a simple color blocked design with ink blending, mask and blend before foiling. Even delicate masking tape can damage foiled images!”

From Tiffany Pryce Russom:

Looking to add fast color to your die cuts? Use your ink sprays! They come in a variety of types and colors and are a great way to add a little variety to your crafting.

From Emily Mydlowski:

Looking for simple ways to add dimension to your die cuts? Stack several die cuts together to add height and ink blend edges of your panel and die cuts to add depth.

We’ll be back tomorrow to walk you through another nature filled round of previews for our Essentials by Ellen August release!
