Happy Summer! Julie here with Summer Cottage Die from the July Release and it is SUCH a charming gift box to make and to receive! I’ve lived nearly my entire life near the sea so I must admit I have a special fondness for ocean themes. I have a couple of bonus ideas in this video that I think you’ll find uber appealing because they’re applicable to the whole series of Ellen Hutson house shaped box dies!
Plus, I think it would be so dang CUTE to have a whole seaside village made up of these cottages!
TIPS:
- With some card stocks it can be difficult to see the score lines from the die; you can go over them with a score board and a stylus to make them more visually prominent.
- Make yourself a re-usable template for the “peek-a-boo” window die pieces; it will greatly speed up the process of aligning those dies for future use.
- Instead of cutting tiny bits of foam tape to pop up more intricate die cut shapes, save time and aggravation by die cutting multiples of the same shape and gluing them together.
- Glossy Accents is great for gluing chunkier embellishments; it sets up fairly quickly and dries crystal clear.
