Hey everyone! I’m so glad you’re here today. It’s Carissa with you today for another installment of the EllenHutson.com Newsletter. Today I’m sharing a set of mini cards featuring the brand new Over It stamp set, designed by Julie Ebersole.

I love this mini stamp set featuring a fun, whimsical rainbow image and some adorable sentiments. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make a set of mini cards and show a few different ways to use these fun images.

I’ll be making a set of 4 Bar cards. This isn’t a standard card size for those in the States, but tends to be a little more common for our friends across the pond. The finished card size measures 3 ½ x 4 7/8 inches.

I know that my kids think they’ll never use fractions…but I use them all the time. And this card base is the perfect example!

To create a Side Folding 4 Bar card base, start with a piece of card stock measuring 7 x 4 7/8 inches and score at 3 ½ inches.

To create a top folding 4 Bar card base, start with a piece of card stock measuring 3 ½ x 9 ¾ and score at 4 7/8 inches.

Now, if you want to make it a little easier on yourself, you CAN round up that 4 7/8 inch measurement to 5 inches. But keep in mind that it likely won’t fit well in a 4 Bar sized envelope.

I used a couple of different mediums to color my rainbows, including Distress Inks and Copic Markers. I’ll link to all the colors I used below.

I even left a couple of my rainbows uncolored and added my pop of color with a multi-colored sentiment instead. I thought this was a fun way to use this set as well.

For this card, I stamped the rainbow image several times, nestled within itself and embossed with gold embossing powder. This is a fun geode like effect and a great way to use this stamp in an unexpected way.

I’ll walk you through the creation of these cards in today’s video tutorial, so be sure you check that out…

I love this adorable mini stamp set and set of mini cards! It makes a great little gift for a friend.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects! I can’t wait to see how you’re going to use your Over It stamp set. Got ideas? Leave them in the comments below. Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!
