Today we’re thrilled to welcome guest artist, Angelica Conrad to the blog. We are big fans of Angelica’s fabulous designs and we think you’ll love her style as much as we do.

Hi friends, Angelica here. I am so excited to be here on the Ellen Hutson blog. I have a couple cards to share with you today, featuring a few products from the new Essentials By Ellen June Release. Let’s get started!
My first card Features a striped background, made with the new Nice Of You Die. I picked the following Concord & 9th card stock for the strips: Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Poppy, Marmalade, Buttercup, Sprout, Aqua Sky, Oceanside, and Peacock. I glued the strips to white card stock, then trimmed to size.

I white heat-embossed All About You sentiments onto Peacock card stock, and used the Nice Of You die to die-cut the panel.

Before assembling the card, I used the dotted circle from Organic Elements to make an abstract background onto the card base. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the circles with.

Once I attached the striped panel to the card base, I glued on the sentiment strip, and attached the YOU with thin foam squares.

My second card features the same Essentials By Ellen products, this time in a different way.

I started by making an abstract background, using the larger images from Organic Elements. I used several acrylic blocks to hold the stamps. I used the following Concord & 9th inks: Aqua Sky, Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, and Buttercup.

Next, I stamped smaller stamps from the same stamp set, this time in darker inks. I used Concord & 9th’s Honeysuckle, Peacock, and Stardust.

I added an All About You sentiment and die-cut YOU to finish the card.

I really enjoyed putting these cards together. I hope I have been able to pass on some crafty inspiration, using these new Essentials By Ellen products. Thanks so much for joining me!

I love Angelica’s striped background card. So much, in fact, that I just had to try it for myself (see my version on my Instagram at lynnhillisacraftymess). I have ordered All About You and Organic Elements and can’t wait to receive them so I can get started using them too! Thanks, Angelica, for the inspiration!!
