Fall + Halloween Reveal Week – Day Two

Welcome to Day Two of our Fall + Halloween 2021 Reveal Week! We’re sneak peekin’ through Thursday! Everyday will be packed with tons of eye candy and inspiration. Our new release hits the shop on Friday at 9:00 am pacific and we’ll be celebrating with an Instagram Hop. We have two amazing Design Ambassadors joining us today so let’s get started!

Emily Leiphart shows how the new Bat Hugger Designer Die can really work its sweet but spooky magic! She’s also incorporated the new Farmhouse Tag and is sneak peekin’ something that you’ll see tomorrow on the blog!

DESIGNER TIPS: Use vellum against the cutting plate to keep the back side of the cardstock smooth since both sides show when you fold the wings Embellish one or both wings for visual interest — for example, I added A2 Piercing Plate 2 details for texture, and foiling details (purposely overfoiling one bat for a grunge look which I think looks amazing on the grey bat). When using the Bat Hugger die as a flat embellishment on a card or tag, you can cut off the wings and position them more easily, also using the smooth side for both the head and the wings easily

Next up is Therese Calvird and her Pyramid Box projects. She has also combined the new Farmhouse Tags along with the Tag-It: Halloween set. She shows how easy these fun boxes can be made with a Halloween theme. I know, we have have so many ideas for other holidays and occasions, how about you?

DESIGNER TIP: My tip for this project is to – Try using different ways to decorate the cardstock to make the boxes.  I used Hot Foil and sneak peeks of an upcoming new designer dies and I stamped a striped pattern with the Painted Stripes Stamp Set.

Definitely all treats and no tricks for today! Do you like to design Halloween treat holders for family and friends? We’d love to hear from you!
