Would you like an EASY way to use your Copics? Today Therese has a fabulous technique which takes your Copics to the next level!
Hi there, it’s Therese here and today I have a fun idea to stretch your Copic markers. Have you ever created your own colored cardstock with Copics? Well, how about making it ombre, it’s so easy to do.
Step 1 – Choose your supplies. I wanted to create a die cut ombre sentiment so I chose the Mondo Hello Die Set.

Step 2 – Next choose some colors that blend nicely together (remember they do not have to be in the same color family, just experiment). Lay down the color on the cardstock ensuring that as you change markers the colors overlap and blend.

Step 3 – Color enough cardstock to fit the entire die and then cut this out with a die cutting machine.

Step 4 – Stamp and color the Good Day image onto the front of your card. I decided to use the same ombre Copic colors for the car as well.

Step 5 – Partially stamp the sentiment from the Besties Stamp Set. And then create a speech bubble by white heat embossing the second portion of the sentiment onto some Ebony cardstock.

Step 6 – Assemble the card and ‘ground’ the car with a gray Copic marker.

I hope you are inspired to create your own very ombre Copic cardstock. Before I go, did you know that Ellen Hutson now sells Sketchmarker Brush Pro Markers and these alcohol markers are also sold separately or in sets and would suit this technique perfectly too!
Thanks so much for joining me here today.
