Essentials by Ellen Nautical New Release Previews!

It’s Day Two of previews of the newest Essentials by Ellen release! We’re thrilled to continue sharing previews of our nautical new July release, leading up to our launch on Friday, July 22nd at 9 AM PDT! Today’s treasures include two versatile stamp sets that we’re SHORE you’re going to love. If you missed Day One, you can catch up with the fun HERE.

Featured in today’s projects are the SHELLS stamp set (with coordinating dies available too!) and the YOU’RE A TREASURE sentiment stamp set. This new set of layering stamps topped off with one of the classic lines from our new sentiment set allows for ENDLESS crafting opportunities!

Explore another round of inspiration and previews from our Design Team below!

From Angela Simpson

“An easy way to add texture to the shells is with embossing glitters. Here, I stamped the first layer of each shell in Catherine Pooler apricot ink, then stamped the accent layers in Clay Mask, followed by Versamark embossing ink. After heat setting some embossing glitter, the shells had more dimension – and a touch of sparkle, too!”

From Therese Calvird:

“Use a monochromatic palette to create an elegant look using the shell images.”

From Tiffany Pryce Russom:

“If you don’t have many ink colors, you can still achieve color variety with stamping. Try stamping the same image three times for a darker shade. Or try second generation stamping for a softer ink color.”

From Carissa Wiley:

“You can add dimension to stamped images with an alcohol ink marker or colored pencil.  Just a little shading makes your images come to life.”

From Carly Tee Minner:

“Try using an embossed resist technique with the seashells! Stamp the detail layer first and then stamp the solid layer on top in clear embossing ink.”

From Emily Mydlowski:

“For a softer (calm waves) feel, use a white pigment ink for your sentiments to an ocean blue background.”

From Daniel West:

“After layering the shells, add some more depth and details with alcohol markers.'”

We’ll see you tomorrow to dive into day three!
