We Are Celebrating Galentine’s Day… With Chocolate 😉!

Join Therese as she gets us ready, with something sweet, to celebrate ‘Galentines Day’ which is unofficially celebrated on the 13th February.

Hi there, it’s Therese here and I want to know which of you ‘Gals’ likes chocolate? I know most of you are with me here, and if not, I’m sure that you know someone who does lol. I love the idea of Galentine’s Day and celebrating our beautiful friends and let them know that we love them too!

I decided to keep today’s designs quick and easy as you may want to make multiples for you besties. But before we get to the sweet stuff I am going to show you how I made a cute heart background.

I used the border patterns from the Valentine Vibes Stamp Set.

First I lined them up on the Fiskars Stamp Press, this made it easy to stamp multiples at the same time.

After I stamped the each section with Versamark Ink I added White Embossing Powder.

I prefer heat setting the whole panel at once so was careful not to touch the embossing powder when I was stamping each section of pattern.
PRO TIP: If you prefer, you could heat set each section between stamping.

Next I added some ink blended stripes. I used pieces of Masking Magic to mask off each stripe.

Then I added each color, I used It’s a Girl, Tiki Torch and Minted.

After I finished blending each section I could remove the masks to reveal the pattern (this is my favorite part)!

Then I die cut the largest Essential Heart from the background to create the centre piece for my first card.

And now, it’s time for chocolate! I used a sweet set called Trufflin’ and I have to say that I just love the sentiments in this set.

I also added some cute critters on each of my designs today. I used the Heart Eyes Combo!

But I have to tell you, the best thing about the Essential Heart Die is that it cuts a border at the same time. So, I just had to use that on my second card design.

This time I used some ‘left-over’ blended cardstock to add a sentiment from the So Chewsy Stamp Set.

And my bonus card for today, another fave that I am sure your Gal-friends will love…

This sentiment totally made me laugh out loud!

And all together now…

I hope that you have been inspired to create some sweet ‘chocolate’ inspired cards for your special Gal-friends. And if you do, I’d love you to share them with me @lostinpaper, as well as @ellenhutsonllc. We can’t wait to see what you make!
