Join us in welcoming the fabulous designer Heather Nichols to the blog today! We’re so excited to have Heather here to show us how she was inspired by our spring release. Follow along below as she breaks down how she created these cute carrot gift boxes, along with a few adorable matching tags!
Hey, everyone! This is Heather Nichols and I am so excited to be guest designing and sharing a project that I created with Easter products from the newest Ellen Hutson release!
I am a huge fan of creating tags for all of the holidays throughout the year and had so much fun creating tags for Easter that I attached to these adorable carrot treat boxes.

The carrot treat boxes are created with the Pyramid Box along with the Pyramid Box Carrot Add-on. I cut out the base of the box from kraft cardstock (a personal favorite cardstock color of mine!) and added the carrot sides and top that are cut out from orange cardstock. The fringy tops of the carrots are cut out of a light green cardstock. Splatters are added to my projects with a dark brown liquid watercolor and white acrylic ink. Adding splatters is a favorite of mine to add texture and a rustic feel to my projects!

For the tags, I used the cute images from the Sweet Spring stamp set. I stamped the images in black, colored them with alcohol based markers, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I love to stamp and color a number of images at one time so I can pick and choose from a bunch to use on my projects.

The tag base is cut out with a die from the Modern Tags die collection from kraft cardstock and stamped with the Skinny Stripes stamp with a kraft ink. I added the tag reinforcement piece cut from white cardstock. Sentiments stamped on the tags in black ink are from the Ears to You stamp set.

The cute Easter images are added to the tags with foam adhesive to pop them up just a bit and then the tags are tied onto the carrot boxes with burlap twine. They are going to look so cute tucked into Easter baskets once I fill them up with a sweet treat!

I also made several extra tags so that I have them ready to go for tying onto other Easter gifts and treats!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I had so much fun playing with these products from the Easter release! I hope that you learned something new and are inspired to create your own Easter tags and/or treat boxes to gift to the special people in your life for the Easter season.
